Cowboy Bebop is considered old school?

Sailor Moon is still my all time favorite, new or old. I also liked Ronin Warriors back in the day.
    I like Kung-Fu.

In fairness, it is almost twenty years old at this point. Besides they said old school or classic and it's certainly classic anyway!

Not all of us Krissy. I made an abbreviated list, but there's some old gold in there.

Admittedly, I had to restart my list and forgot Voltron and Ronin Warriors.

I mean I guess we can throw Astro Boy, Speed Racer, and a few others in there.

Cowbo Bebop, definitely. Or Wolf's Rain, if it counts. Wolf's Rain is actually my favorite anime of all time ever.

I really don't know what's considered classic since I missed a lot of anime until more recently. I feel like a lot of the more classic stuff I experienced in manga instead, but I'm not sure.

Growing up, I watched Pokemon, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Card Captors, and whatever else was on the channels I watched cartoons on. I can't remember if I watched these, but I did enjoy the manga for Ranma 1/2 and Ah! My Goddess back then. I had a cousin that was obsessed with anime and manga, and she was the one getting me into stuff like that.

Nowadays I've really enjoyed Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Akira, all of the Miyazaki movies (I can't remember if Nausicaa is old enough to be classic), Excel Saga and a few others. I just don't know when everything came out so I don't what's classic.

Anime was considered an exceptional rarity until the latter half of the 90s. You'd get animated films, usually the self-indulgent, philsophical ones like Ghost in the Shell and Akira, but TV shows didn't seem to arrive here. There were, of course, Gundam Wing, but you usually had to be loaded (could afford SkyTV) in order to watch that. I can't recall anything on terrestrial tv being imported from Japan until the arrival of Pokemon, then the onslaught of shows like Digimon, Cardcaptors Sakura, and Yu-Gi-Oh.

So I don't really have any 'classics' so to speak of. I have a list of shows that I watched in the mid-00s, when torrenting and fansubs were at their most prevailent. To Heart, Ah! My Goddess, Chobits, Bleach, Suzuka, Love Hina, but are all relatively recent in the grand scheme of the anime timeline, and I can't say that I found any of them particularly enthralling. I think Pokemon is as classic as it gets for me, but I wouldn't call it classic by definition. It's still too contemporary.

Studio Ghibli. A little bit of a love-hate affair with it. I like some of the films, but the majority of them I find underwhelming, which sounds like sacriledge because Studiop Ghibli is ordained by fans as being the pinnacle of animated storytelling. There just aren't many of the films that I would ever be tempted to watch more than once. Porco Rosso being my least favourite. Howl's Moving Castle probably my favourite.
