No, its not new ^^ Espeon had it since it evolved

Well, that explains it, since Shai is using ORAS. You can play recordings from both sets in ORAS, but only the XY ones one XY.

Yes, it is. But GameFreak hates patching/updating games (including making DLC), so they refuse to update XY. And rather than bother to check if XY could play the match's replay (which, if an XY game took part, it could), it just blocks any match with an ORAS game.

I am alos having difficulty due to a large translation assignment I got on top of my MA work, so I'm all for extending this period until everyone has battled. This is the semifinals, after all.
