I don't have a 3DS on me now, so we'll do it later.

This was a very fun tournament and I was super happy with my performance win or lose against Ultima. I made some tweaks since our last meeting and I'm fairly certain that if I ran the same set against him again I would lose because he would be more prepared.

For those of you curious, here's the set I ran:

Flygon
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Rock Slide
U-Turn

Flygon made a great scouter with U-Turn and was usually my lead. Rock Slide was also great coverage for flying types.

Infernape
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
Close Combat

The goal is to set up with Nasty Plot and then sweep, but he was too fragile and I used Close Combat more often than not. Doing it again I would focus on all out attack.

Empoleon
Ice Beam
Scald
Toxic
Roar

Empoleon soaked up specials with his great type and stats and the ice/water move combo has good coverage. Toxic was for those bulky types and Roar was for anyone who tried to set up.

Ampharos
Thunderbolt
Agility
Thunder Wave
Power Gem

Had a hard time pinning Ampharos down since he's so slow but he did come in handy in the last battle. Thunder Wave is always annoying. Agility to make up for that speed (thanks Skyblade).

Aegislash
Swords Dance (replaced with Sacred Sword only for that last battle)
Iron Head
Shadow Sneak
King's Shield

Aegislash is a godly pokemon and I don't think I even ran his best set, but he's a sword so Swords Dance just made sense. Straightforward dance then whack them with Iron Head with a priority Shadow Sneak to finish.

Hypnosis
Taunt

This guy was my wild card. I hated him at first but then gave him some sneaky status moves in Taunt and Hypnosis and he became really annoying. His ability makes Superpower actually build his stats which is crazy.

Me and Ultima finally played.

As expected, he completely wiped the floor with me. There is just absolutely nothing I could do to stop the combination of Cofagrigus and Aerodactyl. If I had some idea of how to better use Banette, maybe.

The match code will probably be up in a bit. But, just a warning, it ends in a forfeit because I reached a point where I was down so low that I had no chance of recovery.

I really had no clue how to use this guy. Never used Banette, no clue what it can do. I slapped Sunny Day on it in the hopes that it could set up for my Fire Types, then just filled in utility moves. Mostly, was just hoping that Cursed Body would activate.
