You know that won't happen. And honestly, I wouldn't even want that to happen. Those worlds already have their own games and we've already explored them.

Most of my favourite Disney films have been done, so if they're only doing unexplored worlds then I'm having trouble thinking of worlds that would appeal to me more. Jungle Book, Toy Story and Treasure Planet are pretty much all that's left I'd like to see.
Even if it weren't a Final Fantasy world, Hallow Bastion, Traverse Town etc. are usually more exciting than the Disney world's anyway. Just put one or two more of them in there.
I'm all for more completely original worlds. I just don't want a game-specific world![]()
I'm curious what difference you find between playing through the story of Aladdin and playing through the story of a Final Fantasy game. Obviously I know one is based on a game and one on a film, but Kingdom Hearts is about Sora's story and his interactions with pre-existing worlds. If I wanted to see the original story of Aladdin I'd watch the film, if I want to see Sora in Aladdin I play Kingdom Hearts; similarly, if I want to play the original FF8 then I'll play it, but if I want to see these characters in that world then what is the difference to the first example?
I know that it's near impossible with the story set the way it is (Squall, Cloud etc. being from Hallow Bastion, Tidus and Wakka being children from Destiny Islands), but I'm speaking in hypotheticals here to try and understand your reasoning.
There's a lot of reasons that I can't really put to words because they're mostly just related to me feeling it would be wrong. But rationally, there's at least one.
With Disney world, you're condensing (or expanding on) a simple story of a 90-minute movie. FFs are all 20+ hours long with much more complex stories and larger worlds, so either condensing them or building on them in one little Kingdom Hearts world would not only be difficult, but I can't see a way out of it that wouldn't feel cheap.
I also personally just love the idea of FF characters being cameos and/or having a role in the main plotline and original worlds. It's like, this is an SE game already, we've played these characters, now I wanna kick ass alongside Elsa and stuff.
It's kind of why I used to love the idea of Kefka in FF and now I think he wouldn't work - you just know he'd end up upstaging Xehanort. Disney villains have a different dynamic. So having like a real threatening FF villain in an FF world (Sephiroth is just an optional boss who's only interested in Cloud) could kind of upset this balance. I mean, I doubt they'd play along with the Disney villains in charge of the Heartless, and the overall feeling you'd be left with would be "how can we just leave that world like that when there's this witch kompressing time? Screw the Heartless - that sounds way more sinister!"
Yeah, those are all good points. I think ret-conning the previous lore is more than enough reason not to add in worlds that Cloud and co. were a part of from their FF entries, I wouldn't be surprised or bothered to see more optional Final Fantasy bosses make appearances though.
Oh yeah. That would definitely be awesome. I loved the inclusion of the Behemoth Heartless in KHI. Maybe we could get Ozma or Omega?
I wonder if we'll ever get some of the non-musical classics like The Great Mouse Detective, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, Sword and the Stone, or The Rescuers.
Well, Merlin is a key recurring character in the series so maybe a SitS world is not out of the question.

Oh great, do I need to go and watch all of the Pixar crap I've deliberately avoided for the last decade? C'mon Squenix. You still haven't done all of the classics. There'd better be some Robin Hood in this!
You did not just call the company that made Toy Story 3 crap.
You'd better believe it! I was being a tad facetious though. They are good, I'm just not overly into their stuff and prefer the traditional Disney stuff.
I think Frozen was great though, that was 3D animated. It just felt more disney-like than pixar-like. It's more about the types of stories and characters to me.
Btw, did anyone else notice that Tangled is in this too? It was in the E3 video, but hardly anyone seems to have noticed it.
