KH1's Atlantica was so much better than KH2's, so I think you're talking crazy right now. But I will say that my favourite boss battles in Kingdom Hearts were the ones that allowed you to use guard and required a bit more strategy (eg. the fight with Riku/Ansem in Hallow Bastion or the fight against Cloud and Squall) than simply trying to stay glued to the back of Ursulas head or stay on top of the Cerberus's back while the camera is going crazy.
