I am a liberal bug killer. Mercy is a foreign concept to me. I don't want that thing anywhere near me.
I leave them alone. They kill other bugs. Unless it's a poisonous one, then it needs to die. There was a banana spider (or whateve they call them here) above my trashcan for a while. I would throw grasshoppers to her. I named her Jolene.
Noooo....? In my defense, if there is someone else in the room who can catch an insect, I'll let them deal with it. And if it is slow moving and just, stuck to the floor or the wall then I'll attempt to put a glass over it. I don't just kill on sight...
So you are better with bugs than I am. Congratulations?
I usually go "oh look, a spider" in my head and then return to whatever I was doing.
Other times I swat them or move them outside. Depends on my mood I suppose.
Oh yeah there's also a spider now living in my mailbox. He has green fangs, which is super cool. I named him Phil.
It has noting to do with "being better with bugs" I don't like bugs but, that doesn't mean I need to kill them. It's called having respect for other living things regardless of how creepy or small they are. And you said in your first post that you are a "liberal bug killer".
Heaven forbid I inject a dose of sarcasm in my posts! Sheesh, anyone would think I literally hunted bugs with a fly-squatter, constantly living in fear for my life: God help an insect that flies into the room. As long as they're not invading my personal space, I'm more than happy to just let that spider (if it's small, mind) or moth or whatever occupy that corner of the room. But if a bug landed on me, I'd definitely freak out, which may or may not involve killing them.
I don't really see the issue here. It has nothing against my personal morals on the sanctity of life, thank you very much.
Kill it because the spiders down here can make you very ill and cause necrosis and jump at you and stuff and I don't know which is which and by the time I note it's markings and google it, it may have scurried away.

Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
I would never willingly kill another living thing unless it was a danger to me. I'm no huge fan of spiders or any insects, but they don't bother me. If I see one anywhere in my house I tend to just leave it be.
If someone else is around who really wants it gone I'll just take it outside.
I kill it because it's easier than trying to delicately remove it from the wall and put it outside. I can't ignore it because my kids might find it later and eat it.
