    Default The Hunger Games Marathon!

Anyone else doing a marathon of these movies building up to Mockingjay Part-2, or is it just me?

    Spoilers Inside Movie 1

This was a pain in the ass to edit, and I blame it largely on the way it was filmed. The camera just didn't want to work with me on any of these scenes.

Keep in mind this is my first time going through the series and I never read the books, so... Yeah.

Discuss all things Hunger Games related here. I'd say use spoiler tags where appropriate, but they don't seem to be working for me for some reason.

    Edit: Was doing it wrong.

I like the movies. Haven't read the books but the movies have been entertaining.

I would if I had the time. Can't wait for Mocking Jay Part 2 though.

Not a fan of the films (Battle Royal is better) but I've been dragged to all the other films so I'll most likely be dragged to the last one as well.

    ZOMG!

Battle Royale is actually about something different, thematically speaking. Both are social commentaries, but on different things.

I liked the books and the movies so far have been better, with even the comparably weak Catching Fire being good. I havent actually seen the first Mockingjay movie yet, since I want to do it right before seeing part 2. I'm kinda fed up with all those book series finales being split into two parts. The Mockingjay was not that long. And it was definitely the best book of the three. So I guess I'll be judging them both once part 2 comes out.

I've watched all the movies so far, however they were forced on me. I wouldn't have seeked them out myself however I did enjoy them. I'll watch the last one someday.

Catching Fire is my hands down favorite so far. It's not everyday a sequel actually surpasses the first film. Curious to see if the highroad continues into Mockingjay Part-1.

    Don't tell me.

Yeah, the movie was really great, especially compared to the book. Catching Fire was the weakest book by far.

Am I the only one who thinks Catching Fire is, hands down, the best book?

Just finished Mockingjay Part-1 and am now caught up for Mockingjay Part-2 next week. Mom's so psyched about it she wants to see it on the day it release since she has a day off on Friday. Which is rare since she usually never wants to go to the movies on the weekends since it cost more. Not that I'm complaining. It allows me to have a special unscripted Movie Monday to talk about the last movie. Less editing for me.
