Someone told me they had that question asked of them at an interview, which I found... different. I guess it's so they can judge you on your reading taste or if you read at all! Judgy interviewers.

So now I'm curious; what were the last 3 books you read? Were they good? Bad? Was it a cookbook? A textbook? Share!

The Neverending Story, Game of Thrones, Emily of New Moon.

Halfway through The Neverending Story and loving it. Lost interest in Game of Thrones at the point Tyrion makes it to the wall. Lost interest in Emily two chapters in.

The Gathering Storm, The Towers of Midnight, and A Memory of Light. They're the last 3 books of the Wheel of Time series, and they were phenomenal (except the parts that are written from Elayne's perspective. Blegh.)

Pride and Prejudice, Wind in the Willows and Peter Pan.

I am struggling to read P&P because of the awkward way it does dialogue, but the other two were nice little reads. I hadn't read WitW for years and it was nice revisiting my childhood.

The Sixth Extinction - by Elizabeth Kolbert
    Eye opening read. Very insightful.
    Abomination - by Gary Whitta
If you don't know of Whitta, he wrote the screenplay for The Book of Eli. This is his first novel. Paced like a movie. Very fun read.
Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History- by Stephen Jay Gould
Gould gets very detailed with his writing, but the content was extremely fascinating to me. The things we can learn from 500 million year old fossils. Amazing!

I need to get to the wheel of time series eventually. Also, I can see how someone would put the Game of Thrones books down, they are long and do a lot of setting up before they get to the good stuff so if you can't deal with that then you wont like it.

I honestly have never read P&P but it's on my list!

Pumpkin, I have no idea about your books xD

    Hey memoirs are good too!

Oh, I may be interested in Abomination.

Last few books I've read are:

Fables vol 3(comics) by Bill Willingham, Howdunit Book of Police Procedure and Investigation: A Guide for Writers by Lee Lofland, and Hounded by Kevin Kearne

I'm currently working on The Shining by Stephen King and The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.

If we include graphic novels, Wolverine, Civil War & I think the Hobbit or Marvel Comics: The Untold Story.

New Spring, The Eye of the World, and The Great Hunt.

I'm trying to get on this Wheel of Time band wagon. Books are pretty great so far.

But... but you can't read New Spring first. It spoils so much. You have to read it after Lord of Chaos or Crown of Swords.

A friend suggested that I read it first so that I could have a better understanding of the world.
And also, as it fits first chronologically, I would have read it first anyways.

I plan on reading Wheel of Time soon! Maybe starting in November! October is dedicated to classics (so I'm a more well-rounded reader).

    Last three audiobooks:
    Naked by David Sedaris
When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris
Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris

    Last three written books:
    Honolulu by Alan Brennert
The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran
Half Way Home by Hugh Howey

    Currently reading:
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver

I would personally assume that the question (as an interview question) is less about judging you for reading tastes as opposed to just seeing if you read, period.

Star Wars: Aftermath. It just came out. I'm a nerd.

Confessions of St Augustine. I go to a Jesuit university. It was mandatory.

A memory of light. I reread The Wheel of Time series recently.
