Hmmm. I've never plugged an audio device in via USB. I'm sure you went through all the audio settings and checked the playback devices to see if the TV was disabled right?

When viewing the playback devices with sound playing, do you see the activity? You can normally see little bars in the volume mixer if Windows detects that sounds is playing. Do you?

This exact thing has happened with my girlfriends laptop before, but a simple restart fixed it. I suppose it's too much to hope that you haven't tried that yet?

Have you tried connecting to the tv via a hdmi and seeing if you get any sound out of it that way?

The only other thing I can think of is a faulty hdmi then. If you have a spare one lying around or possibly a laptop/console you could try that to see if the issue persists.

Yeah I'd try another HDMI or maybe one of the ports has become loose and you could try jiggling things around when you plug the cord in?
