Never saw the big fuss about them. I don't like them or hate them. They are just creatures that exist in the Star Wars universe. I understand why people think it is lame, but even as a kid I understood the film makers were using the "unlikely primitive dudes overcome technological guys" trope. I say this with the belief that Return of the Jedi is the weakest of the Original Trilogy, but the Ewoks have nothing to do with that.
