Final Fantasy XII is interesting as it's one of the few games in the series where the entire cast has access to all weaponry. Assuming you had to give the cast up to three weapon types they could use, what would they be?

Vaan - Swords, Bows, Staves
Ashe - Maces, Swords, Rods
Balthier - Guns, Daggers, Spears
Fran - Spears, Bows, Axes & Hammers
Basch - Axes & Hammers, Greatswords, Swords
Penelo - Daggers, Poles, Crossbows
Vaan - Swords, knives, Poles
Ashe - Katanas, Bombs, staves
Balthier - Guns, swords, daggers
Fran - Bows, spears, crossbows
Basch - Greatswords, axes and hammers, bare-handed
Penelo - Rods, staves, and crossbows

Penelo - Staves, Rods, Bare-handed (she was taught martial arts by her brothers, the manual tells me)
Vaan - Daggers, Ninja Swords, Swords
Balthier - Guns, Spears, Hand-Bombs
Fran - Bows, Crossbows, Staves
Basch - Swords, Greatswords, Axes/Hammers
Ashe - Poles, Greatswords, Katanas
Penelo - Daggers, Ninja Swords, Rods

Technically she's pronounced dead at the start of the game, so
I was thinking more the end of the game, but fair enough. I'm still confused as to why an interior designer is an important job role in the party.
Well if we're in need of an interior designer, how about a fashion designer? Vaan is committing oh so many crimes of fashion. Balthier really raises the average up, to be honest.
