Best Newbie
If you were to imagine EoFF as some menagerie, or a zoo (bear with me here!), then arguably the most exciting part of a zoo's life is the introduction of a new baby animal! Indeed, these little balls of creation draw many new tourists to zoos each year:
there's an entire website devoted to this if you want to inject some adorability to your life.
Just as baby animals are a source of much excitement for the world's zoos, at EoFF the arrival of new members causes us equal amounts of joy! I always enjoy writing for the Best Newbie award because it gives us a chance to pause for a second and reflect on the past six months of new arrivals, and to consider all they have given us!
No matter who wins this award, I just want to say to all of our newbies, that you're all the best in my eyes!

Unfortunately, moogles cannot be found in zoos, so I had to find an appropriate stand-in animal to fully represent fat_moogle. In the end, I went with a nice heavy animal to represent the plump moogle that fat_moogle has as their avatar: the elephant! fat_moogle has been with us for awhile now and is already making
article contributions!
Most likely found: The Final Fantasy VII Remake pen.
FFNut
When considering the baby animal to represent Nutty, it could only be the monkey! I cannot confirm if Nutty is that cute in real life. FFNut is the reigning champion of the Best Newbie award: can he make it a second year?
Most likely found: Diving into the EoFF RP pen.
Fox
This was a relatively easy one to pair up with! Fox has been a valuable member of the community with several contributions in various threads, always giving us something to smile about. Will it be Fox's year to shine?
Most likely found: Debating in the Final Fantasy Remake pen.
Galuf
I kinda get a turtle feel from Galuf for some reason! Galuf has been around with us since last year and if he isn't chatting with Fynn (I mean, who could resist?), Galuf is found chatting about everything and anything in the gaming sub-forums.
Most likely found: Chatting in the General Gaming/RPG enclosure.
Midorisa
Midorisa is really known for her art, so I researched animals that have produced art.
Turns out several animals have
produced art, but I went with the adorable seal! Midorisa has produced some fantastic artworks for this forum, and fully deserves to be a finalist: but is it her time today?
Most likely found: Producing stunning works of art in Relm's enclosure.
Mr. Carnelian
By honour of living with the man, I found out that he keeps an adorable manatee soft toy, making the above image a shoe-in. Always willing to advocate for his own view, he came close to scoring the prize in the Summer Ciddies: will Mr. Carny break through this time?
Most likely found: Being a nerd in various enclosures, but especially the lounge and the RP pens.
Rin Heartilly
Finally, we have Rin Heartilly! Rin is Australian, so what better animal to represent her than an adorable wallaby! Rin has been a really active member of late, posting in many different sub-forums. Her bright, friendly attitude is a credit, but is it enough to win the prize?
Most likely found: Just about in every enclosure, really!
