Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure Wolf likes to try out older games in their original release format first Tried to get him to try the Enhanced Edition of Baldur's Gate instead of the broke original. No go.
Listen, if you're busted ass game can't hold up without mods, fan patches, and updates then it obviously wasn't that good to begin with.

Kidding aside, I prefer playing games in their original format for the most part. Hard to appreciate good changes to a game if you don't know the original, and sometimes the original version has its own unique charm that gets changed when the game gets updated to modern taste. Final Fantasy III pretty much taught me that much.

I don't have KotOR 2 yet, figured I should give the original a whirl first to see if I like it, but seeing how I have an almost masochistic pleasure with old school clunky RPGs and the fact that I actually love Star Wars despite rarely talking about it on the forum, I have a feeling it will be in my future at some point.
