COPS: Final Fantasy Edition?

Can we imagine what cops may have to put up with in all incarnations of the Final Fantasy multiverse? I think I have an idea what they'd have to put up with Do you think they'd be equipped with magic to fight criminal mages?

I like this idea!
Regular cops could use the anti-magic equipment (like surpressing handcuffs) and Elite Forces (like American SWAT) could use surpressing magic (spells like Slow, Threaten, Blind or Silence) along with the anti-magic equipment.

I'd like to see them in FFXV, because its world is very similar to ours.
People use cars there, their clothes are modern and so on...

True. I think I'll type out a scenario here with the Cops getting into a fight with a mage over a DWI.
