Just recently I learned that Die Hard was his first movie. Talk about making an immediate impact! Rickman has excelled in any role I've seen him in so this is a great loss to the entertainment industry.

I can't think of a role I've seen him that he wasn't just spectacular in. From The Metatron, the Sheriff of Nottingham, to Marvin the Paranoid Android.
I actually didn't believe my husband when he told me.
This was my favorite role of his. I love Snape and Hans of course, but I'm a huge Sci Fi nerd and quoted this all the time. I loved every role he was in.Originally Posted by Crop

Yes, he was awesome as Hans Gruber. His role as Snape was probably my favorite part of the Harry Potter films. But to me, he will always be Dr. Lazarus.

I really grew to enjoy him as an actor, and he became the de Facto Snape. I was really sad to hear about him dying.
