Id say the original red ble and yellow. Have you heard half the music in that game? The colourless graphics dont help none either.

Man, that's not even scratching the surface. The existence of Missing No alone makes it the creepiest. I'm glad I never ran into that glitch as a child, or I would've burnt my Game Boy.
This one.
What the hell is that?
I remember I always used to turn the volume on my gameboy down whenever I flew to Lavender town :S
10 year old child with anonymous father is thrown out by single mum and coaxed into a 'lab' by an old man with the promise of giving him/her his 'pocket monster', and is then sent out into the world with a device tracking their every movement.
They're all creepy, bro.
there was a picture here
Come to think of it, the explorers series is, well not creepy but dark.
i mean if youve played it youd know. i dont wanna spoil but it is dark for a kids game
one scene has the heroes tied up and are to be sliced slowly to death by Sableye
I'm getting massive Goldblum vibes from Professor Sycamore right now~

Just so you guys know, I'm crying with laughter over this whole thread.
I'm going to say the RBY and GSC games are tied for creepiest, for these reasons: Lavender Town and the Ruins of Alph. I used to hop on my bike and ride through Lavender Town as fast as I could so I didn't have to stay there so long (and I was very reluctant to go there for the story), and the first time I went to the Ruins of Alph I was there for about five seconds before I went "Nope" and bravely ran away. I didn't return until I beat the Elite Four and had half a dozen powerhouses to protect me.
