Default Drawing - Digital or Traditional?

I like to draw traditionally. Digital art is something I struggle with.

Have you tried it on a proper tablet? Most of the digital artists I see on youtube use them and some of the high end ones are meant to have a good "paper-like" feel to them.

To answer the question, I can't draw so I don't really care. But I've always been good at sigs and graphic design, so I guess that's a kind of digital artwork.

I have, a little. I think it would take some getting used to. I like to see the lines I draw as I draw them, on the thing I'm drawing them on. The idea of watching a screen while touching something in a different location is a bit odd to me. If those swanky tablets that allow you to draw on a screen and see the results on that screen immediately were considerably cheaper, I'd probably get one.

I never know how to answer these questions because I often prefer a mix of the two, for example drawing on paper and then cleaning up/coloring on the computer.

Chalk one up for "I have no preference because I'm amazing."

I think both are great in their own ways and can compliment each other nicely, like Pike said. I'm still pretty bad at both

There's also a difference in cost. In traditional media, you have to pay more often to recover materials, whereas with digital you basically need one purchase, but it's a big one

I would looooooove a nice tablet to have a go at doing digital art. I think it would be right up my street, but I still love to do traditional too.

I actually have a tablet and I love it a lot! But sometimes pulling it out of the box and plugging it in is such a hassle (it's me, I am the lazy one)

I have one around the house somewhere too, I think it's probably in the attack... Also, I don't know where the pen/stylus is. So it would be pretty worthless at the moment haha

I like both mediums. I can get better coloring and line corrections and what not digitally but there's always something about just using paper. My best work is usually on paper.

Traditional. Back when I drew, anyway.

Traditional, because I can't afford digital.
