Naming Your Chocobos (in the Original)
Raising Chocobos in this game may be long winded but its a very joyful (not to mention) rewarding experience.
Ive stuck to basic names...following a pattern such as naming them in alphabetical order. I have often named my Gold Chocobo 'Golda' or 'Goldie'
As for the others I've given them some down to earth names that fit in with the Chocobos I'm racing them against.
How about you guys?

Way back, the first time I played FF7, I remember naming my green Terra (as in Earth, because it was green), and my gold was War. No idea why.
I don't remember any of the others' names, but I do know I named the blue something along the same lines as Terra. (Aqua, maybe?) And, knowing14-year-oldme, the black was probably called something like Shadow or Shade. Because I'm incredibly imaginative, doncha know.
I do what I always do with names like this and call them things like Ralph and Jenny
