I've actually yet to get a Lucky Sevens. I know all about it, but yeah. Never happened.

I used it to fight Emerald. It doesn't kill him/her but it does a lot of damage.

You can trick it to happen if you cast mini on an enemy. Just get the last digits 77 and potion your way to 7777.

    Detailed trick
    1. Have more then 7777 HP.
    2. Lower your current HP below 7777
    3. Cast mini on enemy so they do 1 damage.
    4. Get xx77 HP example : 7677
    5. Use potions to make your HP equal 7777

    This.

I always start the Emerald Weapon fight packing this bad boy. He's over halfway to death by the time it stops.

Psychotic used the same tactic in his FFVII Steam HD Mod playthrough if you want to see how it works.

Only draw back is that you hit 7777 even after it wears off. Still good if you are low leveled. Comet2 works well as does KOTR.

I always use lucky 7s to beat Emerald. Using lucky 7s I find you can more or less go at him right away without any leveling up or other preparations.

I have even a save file with Cloud and 7777 HP for the final battle.

airetam storm can knock 2222 off of 9999 for instant 7777.

You clever clever men (I'm assuming you're all men please correct me if I'm wrong)

I've never been able to do this but I have seen an American dude on youtube beat Ruby Weapon with Lucky Sevens and Omnislash combined. He got Cloud to 7677 then made him go "apes**t" by giving him a potion and also using Omnislash. Both of these are like some holy grail to me but....I was just curious...I'm not a rabid completionist

I've known about it, but never really "tried" to get it. I know it would have helped big time in the fights against Ruby and Emerald WEAPON, but I never was fortunate enough to have the dice roll in my favor on that one. Maybe some day, but the WEAPONS were the only one's I was really hoping I would use it for.

I literally was just in a very annoying boss battle in the Hardcore Mod I'm playing right now. It was the boss guarding Quadra-Magic and all the special Counter materia.

Out of nowhere, this message comes on screen and Vincent goes crazy. This has never happened to me before at all, let alone in a fierce boss fight. I have heard of it but never seen it or knew anything about it. I sat there with baited breath, waiting for when it would end and I'd die anyway. But it just kept going and going and going and eventually the boss was dead.

It was crazy. A miracle, even.
