Dragon Quest VII gets a NA cover and Trailer!

Dragon Quest VII is coming to North America on the 3DS "Later 2016", instead of the summer 2016 we heard previously. While they may have pushed the game back, they have given us some goodies. This remake is a fan favorite that Square Enix has remade from the ground up. Check out some screenshots and a trailer!

What are you thoughts about the remade Dragon Quest? What other Dragon Quests would you like to see remade?

I literally do not care that they have puched it because until just recently it wasn't coming west at all. I will happily wait for another few months if that's what they need.

I'm happy that your characters appearance actually changes now when you switch job classes. I hope the game still retains the Monster Heart system as well. So far, it's looking good.

So which one is Journey of the Cursed King? I played most of that but found the whole alchemy thing/levelling up too difficult. What I will say is I love the game graphics, the stories they come up with. I also like how the sun rises and sets. As for remaking them, I don't have a strong opinion either way. I have heard these games are a major thing for the Japanese in particular so, I don't think my iffy view will hurt anyone. There or in North America

Honestly, I wasn't that big a fan of DQ back when I played VIII, but now that I'm playing them in order, I am truly in love with this series. I highly recommend it!

Looks like a pretty great update of this classic. I remember liking it but finding it hard to get into since it looked like a 16 bit game and this was right around the time where graphics were taking off. Also the game was very slow paced and had some big difficulty jumps. I hope they fixed all this in the update.

Yeah, the slow pace is all I really remember about the title sadly. It killed the experience for me when I was younger. I'll probably try to pick this up and give it another shot when it releases, as I hear the game is pretty good once you get past the super slow beginning.

Part of me hopes they ease up on Dharma Temple in the remake, the other part of me feels they should leave it as is and make a new generation suffer...
