I always felt the whole Terra concept in FFIX was underutilized. You have another planet and culture and you opt to limit it to a handful of hours of gameplay? Lame. In a way Terra was conceptually and visually interesting that it kinda proved disappointing you spend so little of the game there.

The fact that you were constantly on the villain's railroad in FF XIII. Right down to the final cutscene no less. That could've gone into themes I'd eat up like crazy, but instead it was just kinda... there and circumvented by... nothing anyone could've seen coming.

ELLONE CAN SEND PEOPLE BACK IN TIME
AND ODINE MADE A MACHINE THAT CAN DO THE SAME.
AND IT'S BEING UTILIZED BY A VILLAIN FROM THE FUTURE.
All of these things are revealed and never questioned or really discussed. They're just accepted no questions asked.
