    Nutty Eoff (Sargatanas)

Default A group of adventurers approach you.

So you are living in a Final Fantasy Universe. The world has seen 1000 years of peace when suddenly the wind changes and monsters start coming out of their hiding places and start hanging around the towns and villages. It appears a big baddy has shown up taking a relic of old to put the world under his thumb and take total domination of the world you now live. However not all is lost as a group of warriors enter your town of Generic JRPG ville. As they walk to the shops to stock up on inventory potions and what nots they spot you doing something of your skill set and approach you to join the team to rid the world of this evil.

My question to you EOFF is what is this skill of yours they saw that made them approach you? I am wondering about real life skills you have not fantasy. Are you great with engines and can fix their airship? Or are you a Baseball Pitcher who can throw things hard and accurately that can aid in battle? What will you bring from Generic JRPG Ville to take on Big Baddy!

How meta are we getting? Cause I think in literary tropes or whatever. I'd probably be the information guy or tactician.

When I crawled out of my hole, the adventure party's first reaction was to draw their weapons, but once they realized "by God, it's human?!", they were keen to recognize my worth. "When we're in a pinch and short on resources, he'll frighten away the monster hordes".

Seriously though, my greatest attributes would not be displayed so freely, and not in such a public setting. It is more likely that the party would have viewed me engaging in regular activities that would translate well, chopping/splitting wood perhaps (I'm pretty handy with an axe, size in my side). Let's say I was chopping, and screams for help were heard. I ran into the woods with my axe, came back with a massive dead wolf over my shoulders, a little old lady, and a young woman dressed in red. Instant legend.

Wouldn't lay all my cards on the table from the get go.

I... Uh... I'm good at processing information. So I guess they would spot me ... Reading a book... And really want to make use of that skill.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

I can stand uncomfortably close to the enemies while breathing through my mouth if it helps.

They would spot me playing Final Fantasy on my Vita and think "This guy is friggin' perfect!"

If I'd wake up in the Final Fantasy world I would immediately scream out of joy like a little girl because it is the best thing that ever happened. And then I would get killed by a Level 3 Goblin.

But - that is as much story as Garland has. So I could actually come back stronger than ever.

I guess I'd get a class called 'Tactician' or something? Probably buffs to our guys and debuffs to the enemy, kind of like a bard, but better.

Well, I have met and consulted with the Dragon King many times, so I can give them a few pointers on how to deal with that.

If the bad guy's written any books, I could analyse the SMURF out of them (English Lit student).

I could keep the party entertained with my singing and piano playing (Grade 8 and Grade 7 respectively, in terms of piano I do mainly baroque and classical but also have some experience with jazz and ragtime, and with singing I've done pretty much every style).

Seeing as we're in a JRPG land, I could give the party English lessons to improve their language skills (as long as they already had a firm basic knowledge, I've no experience teaching it from scratch).

I can sail dinghies (the journey to the bad guy might involve crossing a body of water at some point, after all).

I've only done it a couple of times, but I'm actually pretty good at fencing. I'm sure that with a bit of training, that could be turned into a useful fighting skill.

Basically, I'd be an indispensable member of the team.
