    I'm also super partial to A Little Princess. It was a favorite movie of mine as a kid and I re-watched it again thinking it probably wouldn't be as good watching it as a grown up, but it was still phenomenal! Held up super well after 20 years.

    The Golden Compass movie broke my heart, I loved the book so god damn much. And it just didn't do it any justice.
    I heard netflix picked it up and is making a series for it though, so maybe you'll get a justified viewing of it!

    It's not Netflix doing The Golden Compass and its sequels, it's the BBC I think. They are good at doing TV series like that though so fingers crossed.

    Ahh yes! Someone picked it up! I knew that. Thanks for clarifying

    Hopefully they don't go the dumb things down and not offend anyone route. I'd love to see His Dark Materials done properly as it's my favorite trilogy.

    Bob brought up animation, and though there are so many, there are two I feel deserving nb;

    The Hobit
    The Last Unicorn (I really doubt anyone has seen this)

    Back to "Legend", Tim Curry as Satan, come on!

    Only, we have to be careful with our pronunciation.

    And yes, there's so many subgenres of Fantasy......I was going for a "anything but Sci Fi" definition for this thread.
