Managed to squeeze in a little doodle in between serious adult stuff today!
This is Sergei, a character I haven't drawn in a while. He's basically the deuteragonist of my Path to Eden story that's currently on hiatus, though I'll probably redo it someday. He's an older Russian professor that gets chosen by a different alien faction than the protagonist in order to kind of disrupt stuff. He's one of my favorite characters out of the ones I've conceived - he's one of my eldest (pushing 70), he's gay, highly intelligent and very hard to read. His cunning nature kind of makes it hard to trust him for the first half of the story that I've conceived so far, but he's actually a very caring, passionate imdividual that nevertheless always tries to look at everything from a balanced perspective. Characters from the story are meant to represent specific aspects of humanity - Sergei represents Truth.

It's pretty swish I agree
Also, checkered dress pants~!
-
Your description of him kinda reminds me of littlefinger from Game of Thrones
-
I've only read up to Storm of Swords but he's nowhere near that scummy XD
In the end, he's pretty much the moral compass. Character arcs!

Here's another character from the Devil Summoner fanfic that I'm totally writing still!
(no seriously guys March has been insane for me and it's a miracle that I had the drive to sit down to do ANYTHING creative)
Blogger, painter, and notorious street artist going by the ever creative pseudonym 'L', Lewis, or Lou, as his friends call him, is not a Summoner. And yet Jack and Benny encounter him on numerous occasions both in the Human Realm and the Dark Realm. He seems very knowledgeable of the nature of both humans and demons, though for some reason he and Benny cannot get along at all. Slightly pretentious and a bit of a hedonist, there's much more to Lou than meets the eye.
... I'm sure you know EXACTLY who this is if you've ever played SMT I specifically changed the appearance, since that changes a lot throughout the series, but I'm not being remotely subtle about it, so if you can tell, enjoy this take
Also, those tattoos were A NIGHTMARE!
-
what is SMT?
Also yeah, tattoos are a pain if you ever plan on redrawing him too!

Shin Megami Tensei! I'm writing a fanfic in the world of Devil Summoner, which is part of the SMT series. Persona is also part of the SMT series, FYI, and it's even in the Devil Summoner continuity so that's a point of reference

I can't really explain why, but I'm really proud of this design. There's something so satisfying about it.

Hmm, yeah, Lou, he seems like a nice guy.
I can see why you like the design. I particularly like the first original drawing. I love the loose suspenders and the glasses which at first give him a formal taste, before the vest and tattoos kinda swing the pendulum back. There's a clash of fashion there, and even a clash of eyes with his heterochromia. There's a few interesting takes from it, to be honest.
Don't March was crazy for me as well what with starting a new job. I've only had time to write a bit on my blog.
