    Default Exams or Coursework?

The eternal argument amongst teenage high school students (besides how Chad totally fancies Jessica over Sarah) is the exam vs coursework debate.

Those who favour exams savour the pressure work better under it.

Those who favour coursework spend their time cursing whoever started the concept of timed exams.

But where do you stand on the debate? Did you prefer exams or coursework? Or were you one of those people who actually liked the oral assignments (like presentations) the most?

I always did essay-based subjects so would spend my days submerged in books writing papers, never was one for exams and again for my subject (sociology/criminology) it was hard to retain the information, or knowing what the question would be!

I was always a lot stronger on coursework in marks too.

Coursework, because it shows me at my best ability.

I like the oral presentation, I'm very good at it. It's a skill right there in my initials: BS.

I was always a very slow writer, so I felt I had to dumb myself down in order to finish on time in an exam. Essays are definitely preferable.

Coursework. Especially of the reflective kind. That way I can actually think in-depth about a subject and share my opinions and get feedback on it, rather than worrying about memorizing facts and things like that. Plus it gives me more time to do things at my own pace and in my own environment.

    They're equally easy. I don't have a preference.

Coursework was the bane of my life during my school and college dayz. The fact I felt it was all a bit of a waste of my time meant that it never came out as good as it could have been and I hated always having it in the back of my mind that I needed to do it. I always preferred just coasting then cramming it all for an exam at the end rather than sitting through months of constant drudgery. I think I just disliked writing and preferred a question and answer format.

But trout, if I had the option of an oral presentation I would take that every time...realistically speaking, being able to bollock-talk your way through a topic to someone is a far more useful skill than a lot of the stuff they teach you in your schooling.
