It's the Scholar weapon! It makes a little cute Moogle noise when you draw it as well

I know this is slightly off-topic, but how does the scholar attack? It doesn't just boff enemies on the head with the book, does it?

Scholar is a mitigation healer so they use books to come up with formulas for magic. They just write in the book with a quill, magic ink, and enchanted pages to create magic for cures etc. and we also have fairies!
in FFXIV the Summoner also uses the books!
