I've been super in to this game. I took a break for a week or two and then picked it back up and now I just drop hours on it without even realizing.
Discuss the Xenoblade with me! Please mark spoilers, thank you
You're at Prison Island correct?
Well I had a fun time with it. I even started a new playthrough a while back but haven't gotten back to it yet. I feel the world design is my favorite aspect of the game. I love the locations, the mythos around them and all the details that make the game so cool. I think its the reason why XCX never got my attention as much as XC did, because an alien planet is not as interesting as the traversing the gigantic bodies of two dead gods.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I am at the point where I should be headed to Prison Island, yeah! (SPOILER)The Mechon just landed with ~Face Nemesis~ and my old pal Metal Face
I do love the creativity of the world. Like sometimes I just stand there and go "I'm on top of a giant robot, whaaat". And when you can look around and see the Mechonis or other parts of the Bionis and everything... it's so detailed and well-done.
SO MANY SIDEQUESTS. Alcamoth is a pain to traverse for sidequests.
Best game ever!!!!
Seriously, the world is just amazing and I love how not only is it just gorgeous to look at and explore, but it's also filled with all these people with cultures and communities and you get to influence them all! It's amazing how there's so many side quests and yet I never felt overwhelmed because the sheer joy of traversing the world was an incredible incentive to go out and do all those quests!
Pumpkin recommended this game to me. It's moved to the top of my 'new games to play' list. I still need to finish Tales of Xillia. I've just had no time lately. After that, I'll move to getting Xenoblade.
I'm really feeling it!
Probably the best RPG of last generation. Great world, really well designed. Surprisingly good set of characters. Such a shame they screwed up Xenoblade X.
Formy - Be prepared for large amounts of ham in battles. There is no such thing as a silent battle in Xenoblade.
Finished up Prison Island, back to sidequesting! The story is really heating up and feeling more Xeno than before. I had read the gist of it when I stopped playing before, but playing it and knowing about it are different! Also cue to me giggling like a moron at the super srs(SPOILER)Zanza scene because he's naked.
Any advice on good relationship building at this point in the story aside from quests?

I like how Dunban basically recites poetry when he attacks
Well I know when playing Tales of Xillia, the characters love to talk. In particular, Mr. Carny got really annoyed by the amount of times Elize kept saying "sharing is caring!" in combat.
Is shouting during battles a particularly Japanese trope? Not that I mind, I find it pretty fun.
I think you'll enjoy the fact that the entire English cast is British in Xenoblade
Also, have I already said how much I love Dunban? Dunban is bae I love his voice, his hair, his playstyle, how nice he is!
Plus, some of his armor is really cool
And he's still incredibly badass in spite of only being able to use one hand! How awesome is that!
The Uzuki characters are always the best in the Xeno games.
Yeah, because as a British person I obviously require the voice acting to be British.
Though I suppose it would make a change from vanilla American.
