Thread: My E3 2016 adventures

    Default My E3 2016 adventures

I have been gone from here for ages now. However, I was able to go to E3 this year and check out a lot of the floor with Based Gamer, and I have some fascinating things to share! I'll post my thoughts, stories, and articles here as I get them written, but here we go with the first one.

My explaining what exactly Deckbound is, an online Trading card game in which cards can be used in multiple games on the platform.

Also, a Review I wrote up of the playable game demo there, Deckbound Heroes.

The Platform isn't out yet, but this was easily the most fascinating thing I saw showcased at E3. It does use Bit coin (My initial article sort of talks about why. I don't understand enough about Bit Coin to really get it to well, though I had a couple people with me from Based Gamer who are familiar with it), online only, and users are able to generate their own games and mode for the platform that will use the Deckbound Cards.

Edit: Also, I wrote this up with all the links to E3 demos I have reviewed at E3, and an explanation for a why a few demo's were missing from that list I did play, but didn't feel like I should review them.

    Thanks.

Next up I rank the Demos I played based on how hyped they got me for the game.

Next couple days will be a couple write ups on things that happened such as....

Crashing the Microsoft After Party that was suppose to be private, and getting to play FF XV without waiting in line before getting kicked out (I'll explain there why there was no FF XV review)

And an interesting talk I had with a guy involved with Market Research and Analysis there to check out E3, and where he sees the future of E3 in three years!

And now for the crashing of the Microsoft after party.

Pretty cool that you got to attend and report on the show!

Indeed, it was interesting. Mostly the demo reviews were fun, though anything where there was a 'showing' of a game where no one being shown could get their hands on the thing was particularly useful I felt, just post it up on youtube if you aren't giving a hands on demo damnit!

Anyway, one last thing. By chance I ran into a guy involved in Market Reasearch and analysis who was their checking everything out (Not as a gamer, he said he didn't really play games) and we talked about E3's future, and his prediction of it ending in three years.
