Good news and bad news
Good News: I have a new(er) laptop with Windows 7, casting the shackles of Vista away
Bad news: Vocaroo says it doesn't have a plug in or whatever....even when I've plugged in my mic/webcam its whining at me
my purdy voice is at stake here
So.....little help?
A plugin is a software component that adds features to an already existing program. In this case, Vocaroo needs a plugin that will let your web browser access your microphone. You just need to download it, and there's usually a prompt if you need a particular plugin to a place you can download it. Without that link, when it comes to which plugin you need, I'm not sure. It'll depend on what web browser you're using, what sort of laptop you have, etcetera.
I.....wish i understood this stuff better.
Your advice is pretty good, its better than what I had in mind......

UPDATE: Did a little jiggery pokery with Adobe and problem is fixed.

I'm too self conscious for that.....but maybe someday when I can stand the sound of my own voice I shall consider wheeling it out to the EoFF public
