Celtic should've joined English football when they had the chance - Scottish football has been left behind. Their idea of starting at the top was fanciful, but I think in the long term even going to the lower echelons of the footballing pyramid would've been a wise move. AFC Wimbledon have shown it's possible to reach the football league in a relatively short amount of time, and I don't doubt a club with the resources of Celtic could've made it up to the money shower that is the Premier League. Right now though they'd struggle at Championship level so I shudder to think of how the rest of the SPL would fare. When Scott "Not good enough for Aston Villa" Sinclair and Moussa "Not the real one" Dembele are your big signings, lol. Winning League One is a more realistic ambition.
