Interesting read! I had no idea about the limitations and such with the monster and player names. It's scary to think how much technology has advanced in 26 years! Also this has kind of makes me want to play the original FF. I did play it briefly when I bought Origins and Anthology for PS1 but to be honest I didn't really give the original, II, IV and V much time of day. Didn't play any of them for long. Call me shallow but after playing FFVII, VIII, IX and the FFX demo I couldn't adjust to the graphics.
