I actually created a mono-Bug team to help someone figure out how competitive battling worked.

Galvantula - Sticky Web Lead
Scizor - Mega and Defogger
Vespiquen - Defensive Wall
Vivillon - Special Sweeper
Volcarona - Special Defense and Attack

I can't remember if my last member was Shuckle or Escavalier.

Galvantula opens with the Sticky Web, and lays down the Thunder.

Scizor (or Escavalier) has one weakness, and can safely take on Rock Types with ease.

Vespiquen has a host of unique moves, and quite nice bulk. She works decently well as a physical wall, provided you don't catch any Rock Type moves.

Volcarona is a special sponge, and (along with Shuckle) can take Fire hits neutrally, while boosting with Quiver Dance. Combined with access to Giga Drain, it has impressive staying power.

Vivillon is the fastest reliable sleep inducer in the game, and can then Quiver Dance until it is unstoppable.


I've thought about doing this again with more Types, I might try it some time.
