Also, for those of you guys flabbergasted by all this, this is based on a so far Japan-only cinematic adventure game for the 3DS called Great Detective Pikachu. It stars a deep-voiced Pikachu who is a detective and solves cases with his human companion. The game itself looks pretty friggin' great and I wish it got a Western release.
