Again I have no clue where Geodude lies on this scale so if he fits in the uncommon, then Geodude. After Geodude, Diglett, but I have the same lack of knowledge of just how rare Diglett might be considered.

If we're talking properly rare but not legendary/starter, then probably... uhm... Scyther or Lapras, perhaps?

Lapras for me. One time gift Pokemon in several games, or a 1% encounter rate in one area. That qualifies as "uncommon", right?

This is naturally excluding Eeveelutions and Legendaries.

Geodude is an uncommon pokemon? Huh.

For me, probably Absol. I'm not an expert like Skyblade is in regard to capture rates, but I always thought Absol was rather uncommon.

    I also rather like Spirittomb.

Absol is my second favorite Pokemon of all, but it's gotten relatively common. It did have a tendency towards late game, which can arguably hurt it for the "common" qualifier. But in X/Y it's available right after the Zubat cave, well before the second gym.

I didn't count it, but it's definitely a good choice.

Not sure how the later games treat it, but Dratini/Dragonair from Gen 1 is usually one of my favorites when you finally pick them up, despite their weak stats... well before you evolve it into Dragonite.

Oh, I think Dratini has always been pretty rare. It's in the wild in gen II, but still a very uncommon encounter.

I mean you fish for him in Gen 1 as well but you can only do so in the Safari Zone or by purchasing one from the Game Corner.

I think those uber pokemon are all pretty cool. Especially garchomp mettagross and hydreigon.
Pawniard is a late game too right? Pretty rare?

Cryogonal should be a legendary it is near impossible to find with a low % chance and it only appears in one place, took me ages to find one and when I did I barely had enough balls but did manage to catch it.

Well. Perhaps true in Y. Or you got unlucky. However remember cryoganal was gen 5 so i think its more common in BW. Atleast you got a chimecho for catching it.

Dunsparce. It literally has 'sparce' in the name.

A pretty smurfing odd pokemon too. Never liked them, they look so creepy.
