Favourite Gen III Starter

I'm not going to lie, I feel Gen III has my least favorite starter designs.

Same here, with me. The first forms all look cute enough, though only Torchic really shines in that department for me. Mudkip's pretty cute as well.

Then they evolve and everything goes wrong. Blaziken started the whole Fire/Fighting trend which I grew tired of, and I'm just not a fan of the design. The entire line went from lovable chick to weird bipedal... sort of chicken? And the official art for it gives it really angular legs which looks unnatural.

Treecko starts off well enough, but then Sceptile doesn't grab me at all. I'm not really sure what it is meant to be.

Finally, Mudkip is cute but its evolutions get progressively more stupid looking. Swampert's face just looks silly and goofy, but not in a good way.

Definitely the Mudkip line for me -- I love the water/ground combo and how bulky it is, and Mudkip itself is super cute.
