Active or Wait?
So do you guys use Active or Wait? I'm thinking mainly in relation to FFIX.
Active is supposed to be the "Pro" speed but it feels lik IX's ATB system is built for Wait because Active can...uh, actively smurf you over in some boss fights.

Normally active. That is just what I am used to. But I think ... that I sometimes use wait. I actually do not even remember. Normally definitely active.

Really depends on the game I'm playing. I always play VII and X-2 on Active Mode, but most games - especially the pre-VII games - I play on Wait Mode because I'm just not that familiar with the menu and the attack animations are comparatively really short so you can't afford to smurf around that much. XII is another game I almost exclusively play on Wait Mode because it's simply too fast-paced for me to keep up with otherwise.
IX... I don't really remember actually. I think I played it on Active. I'm not too big a fan of the fact that you can manipulate the ATB to your advantage on Wait Mode.

Used to play active in the past, now I'm much more comfortable playing on wait, for some reason.

I like wait because I'm a very slow thinker and I just can't handle active.

I used to play on active, but now I play on wait. I like being able to take my time to enjoy the game a little more now.

Always Wait mode. I attempted playing Active mode on FFX-2 for a bit but I kept getting bogged down in menus, the item menu especially. I always panic when I'm trying to issue a command to Yuna but then Rikku's ATB fills waiting to be used. Gah!

Always active, it's been a few years since I played the series on Wait mode.
