I can't stand the Beatles and Michael Jackson.
I hang my head in shame.
I really am indifferent to Beyonce. Apparently, gay guys are supposed to love her, I don't.
Complaining about auto-tune is like complaining about guitar distortion. It's an effect and a tool, auto-tune in itself doesn't detract from the quality of the song. There are times when it might sound bad if poorly utilized but the fact that it means the singing is more on pitch with less importance singing skill does not effect song quality
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
I agree it's pointless to complain about auto tune in pop music (where it is most prevalent). Using auto-tune in a recorded setting is to singing, what recording a guitar part at a slower tempo and then speeding it up in your DAW is to guitar playing. They are perfectly viable options if you want to get something to sound perfect in pitch or timing, but if you can't sing/play the part live then that is a reflection of your musical skill. In pop that usually isn't an issue because it's more about having a catchy beat and melody rather than showing off musicianship, and it's not any kind of secret that a lot of pop stars use auto tune. It's only an issue if you're pretending you don't use auto-tune when you actually do. The same goes for lip-syncing.
Seconding Beyonce & The Beatles. Beyonce in particular though.
I hate depression music from artists such as Adele. I appreciate she has a great voice, but if it comes on on the radio, I'm skipping channel.
I dunno if this is deemed unpopular, but I adore Irish traditional music.
