murka hurka sturka was pretty good and i am actually kind of excite for an actual horror thing? i don't normally like horror things.
there were names in the ending credits of people who were not in the episode but have been in past seasons so that's good, probably
So, we're what, 7 or 8 episodes in? What are we all thinking?
Sarah Paulson is the smurfing worst. That accent. smurfing hell.
That is all.
Ahahahaha yeah, it is atrocious.
Oh man, I haven't watched this week's episode yet. Looking forward to it.
I hope in the next episode they have a fake quiz show. I mean smurf it, why not at this point.
I don't really know what they're trying to accomplish at this point.
I think it's just AHS getting even more AHSy. Like, they have a cool idea for a theme at the start of each season, do a few smurfing weird and crazy episodes but then sort of run out of steam by the end.
"Oh man you guys let's do a send up of reality TV and ghost hunters and all that stuff!"
"Yeah and we can have colonist era pig people and and cannibal rednecks!"
"YEAH!"
~*6 episodes later*~
"...now what."
Oh, this is it actually done.
Well.
I guess they didn't let it drag on...?
Oh.
Well, that was certainly a season.
I just want an opening credit sequence next year.
Alright I've had time to digest this.
In terms of gore and jump scares, this season probably lives up to the American Horror Story name more than other recent seasons.
As far as plot goes, it was basically "People go to a haunted house and die for 10 episodes" with some meta commentary. Which is fine. My only real complaint is that I didn't care if anyone survived.
Was the whole "mystery plot" gimmick and commercials just a reference to how Roanoke itself is a mystery?
I liked the season overall, but felt a little ambivalent about the ending. Enjoyed the past season cameo. I'll be back next year.
