    Capote
    The Master
    Moneyball
    Synedoche, New York
    Punch Drunk Love
    Almost Famous
    State and Main

Which is not bad, but I'll still be an action fanboy and say I'd pick Arnie.
It's amazing how many great movies he's been in. Your list doesn't even note Scent of a Woman, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, Red Dragon, Mary and Max, The Boat that Rocked, The Invention of Lying, Mission: Impossible III, The Hunger Games films... the list goes on. He's actually a contender for my choice now. Geez.

Morgan Freeman has been in a lot of films I like. Him probably, or Tom Hanks.

Tom Hanks is another good shout, be it his 80's comedy then moved into his more seriously stuff. I like both so I'd be sorted.

For actor, I'd pick Grouch Marx.
