The Noughties
What did you make of this decade? When someone mentions the noughties what's the first thing that springs to mind for you? Music? Probably not... Gaming? Politics? What are some of the memories it evokes?
Edit: I don't think it's going to matter which decade I pick... you are all going to make me feel old.
My first thought was underwear. My next thought was wtf is the noughties. Then I guessed you mean 2000-2010 and I thought about how weird it was that you call it noughties.

For some reason, the first thing that comes to mind is Darude Sandstorm. I think that sums up the decade fairly well.
After that, I think that's about the time my life changed at a fundamental level since my brother was born in '98. So this was the decade that I was no longer an only child.
Oh, and by the way, Bubba, my brother turned 18 this year.
The world really changed a lot in the 00's. For me, as someone who was born in the 90's anyway.
I mean, 9/11 for a start. It really shook me. Of course, people will also say there is an event like this in every decade like with war and conflict anyway! - but this was the one that happened that I was aware of, at the time it happened.
Yup, I'm getting old.
