Looks like Xenogears is getting a sly cameo in World of Final Fantasy.

In the newest issue of Famitsu, Diabolos was confirmed as a Mirage as well as a strange robotic being known as XG, who is pretty much a dead ringer for the eponymous Xenogears itself.

World of Final Fantasy will be released later this month and serves as a fun mix of Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy as you embark on a quest with Lann and Reynn as they travel the world of Grymoire to recover their lost memories while capturing Mirages of famoud Final Fantasy monsters and teaming up with cute chibi versions of famous FF heroes from across the franchise history.

That's pretty amazing. How many years has it been since SE last acknowledged the existence of Xenogears?

Actually, surprisingly enough, earlier this year to precise. We are coming up on the game's 20th Anniversary but I didn't really think SE would bother, but maybe they'retrying to feel out fans with these little cameos?

I think the success of Xenoblade may actually have something to do with it.
