Though I also enjoyed Rondo of Blood and the original Castlevania immensely as well.

I liked Portrait of Ruin the best. It was just so much fun. And you fought Death and Dracula together.

i really loved 3 and 4 but my favorite so far is "Order of Ecclesia"...
Super Castlevania was my introduction to the series, and so it will probably always remain my favorite.
SoTN obviously did a ton to reinvigorate the series and shape the design of future Castlevanias.
It's a tough call between Symphony of the Night and Super Castlevania IV but I went with the latter.
