Thread: Did I Cheat? (Glitch)

    Default Did I Cheat? (Glitch)

Played through X-2, and during a battle with one of those Iron Giant things (Gemini is it?), the creature slowed down (due to a glitch) whilst I was doing trigger happy on it.

I am just wondering, did this actually enable me to get more trigger happy shots in than I was actually could've? And if so, is that cheating?

Are you sure that's a glitch and not just the trigger happy hitstun?

Anyway, the creature kind of skipped frames I think. Like, one minute he was in the air, then the next he was stood there normal. And the whole thing was slowed down ontop of this.

Yeah that's perfectly normal game mechanics. "Large" creatures are immune to being flinched during their attack animations so your Trigger Happy doesn't straight up interrupt its attack and instead just slows them down a couple frames, but the moment the attack hits (or misses) that flinch-protection is gone and the next shot to hit them will put them back in their flinching animation.

I think you're seeing glitches in everything. Stop worrying and just do whatever the game allows you to do.

When you play a single player game, you're playing against the developers and the rules they set down. If they didn't define the rules (through their code) well enough, that's their fault, not yours for following them to the letter.
