Why the FFXV Bro-trip Might Not be Such a Bad Thing

Hypocrisy is pretty bad. X-2 doesn't bashed for having an all female playable cast nearly to the extent that FFXV does have for an all male cast.


On topic: While FFXV is bound to have its share of issues, I do hope everybody can find something to take away from it in a positive light. It's going to be a ride for me to say the least.

It does. So much so that in the remaster they have made it so you can have dudes in the party.

FFX-2 was also a sequel featuring readily established characters (well, except Paine!) and not a main numbered title.

FFX-2 has a trio of main male characters, the Shinra staff are all male, the villain is male, two of the mini villains are male. So yes, while your main party is all women, the gender split for the whole game is very much 50/50. Probably actually works out that there are less women in it than dudes...

FFXV has....... 4 female characters that are part of the story.
