Oh, so I can get hold of it then. It sounded like it was in Japanese from the Japan-only thing. I dunno! Either way yeah if I could have played it by now and wanted to then I probably would have.

It is Japan only.
I meant Japanese-only, I guess. The language.
Modding a PS1/2 back in the day isn't something I did but it was certainly very cheap as my NZ pals had done so.

It also alters gambits slightly in that it gives you access to a lot more of them from the beginning
Oh, I just didn't like having to set them up. =/ I'm more of a on-the-fly kinda guy rather than someone who wants to spend ages prioritizing certain things. My gambit system during my playthrough of FFXII was extremely simple and if I needed something not on it I just did it manually.

I don't really care about the VIIR, XIII Trilogy or the XIV items, but I wouldn't mind having a console port of the first nine games (you know the good ones) and the XII HD version. Course it depends on the ports for me, if they are going to just port the original console versions, but with better translation of all the games, I would be super intrigued. If it's just a straight port of what's available, like the Origins versions of FFI and II, DS version of III, PSP for IV, and the awful Anthology versions of V and VI, with straight PS1 ports of VII-IX; then no thank you.
Course this could end up being like the last collector's edition they did for the 25th I think it was? Where it was Japan only.
While a PS4 port of the XIII Trilogy is fairly plausible, I do feel it may be too early for the VII Remake to be showing up. The head of SE's marketing and even Nomura implied that it coming out in 2017 was pretty unlikely.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Considering the price of the FFXV UCE, I'd expect something like this to clock in around the £500 mark.
I am rather interested in the FFI - FFIX compilation. Having only played FFVII of that entire range, it does sound very tempting. Of course, the price could be a bitch, but we'll see. The FFXIII trilogy is... alright, but I've played all of them, and they're good enough on PS3; they're not good enough to re-purchase.
I am looking forward to FFXII's remaster though. That's worth buying again because of the upgrades in both graphics and content.
The Crystal Collection sounds amazing yet probably astonishingly expensive. Heck even the standard edition is probably going to cost a small fortune.
This is awesome! I was hoping something like this would come next year. I've been saving playing FFVIII for almost 5 years now, because I assumed sooner or later it'll get a HD upgrade like it did with steam. It's kinda unplayable on a HD TV with the current settings. Between this and FFXII, really looking forward to getting sunk into FF next year.
