Newbies are celebrated for the fact that they're new faces that we are so much in need of nowadays, while veterans are people who get appreciation for how long they've stuck around and kept us going. But there's a window of time between being one and the other that leaves you wondering - am I really important for the community? I'm not new, and I'm not here nearly as long as so many other people, so what's the point?
The point is exactly that - you're you! We need you here just like everybody else. It's you, not the newbies or the veterans, that forms the heart of the forum. Veterans may be the backbone, but you're the people who have already been here long enough to know the ropes, but not long enough to become grizzled, jaded old people. Your energy is the very essence of this forum's life.
And that's why I'm incredibly happy that your input is finally getting the proper recognition. Congratulations to all the winners - you all deserve it.
