Transferring characters

My wife and I share an account but want to play together once I get her a separate ps4 this year, is it possible to transfer an existing character to a different account? Really not wanting to start from scratch.

I've done some digging around and I cannot find anything advising that this is possible.

Maybe raise a topic on the offical forums and see what they say? It may be possible and I'm not searching hard enough xD

As I understand it...

You CAN:
Transfer a FFXIV license to another PSN account.

You CAN'T:
Transfer an existing FFXIV service account to another PSN account.
Transfer characters from one FFXIV service account to another FFXIV service account.

I believe that if you need to switch your game onto a different Playstation or PSN, you're gonna have to deal with losing your characters.
