Today we learn more about our new friend Eiko as we take her home!
(SPOILER)

Zidane, as polite as ever

Since Eiko is home, her moogle friends come out to greet her

Mog comes out of hiding and gets fussed at

We head further in to the village and Eiko is all about her hero Zidane

Zidane has some questions of his own for the tiny summoner

But instead of answering, she barrages him with questions

Since he doesn't get a chance to answer, I will try to answer for him!

Noticing that Garnet seems a little out of it, Zidane goes to check on her and thinks maybe she's jealous

With that, Eiko invites us to dinner

Speaking of Vivi, he's stuck tackling with the recent news about how Black Mages have been dying

And he starts asking the questions we've been asking ourselves forever

Eiko, meanwhile, starts prepping for dinner

Er... yeah

Puehehe

As everyone gets to their tasks of helping, Eiko looks up at the sky and asks her Grandpa for help

While in Madain Sari, we also get another piece of our Zodiac story!

And we see that Garnet is having some struggles of her own

And you thought you had parental issues

And so two of our characters needed to go to a whole new continent to learn more about themselves.

This is why they tell you to travel after high school!

We head to Eidolon Wall to find that access is restricted. But we do see an old friend

Upset by the subpar sand, Quina jumps in to a river

Where s/he is soon fished out

Speaking of which, when cooking with Eiko, make sure to prepare enough water for at least 11 people and help the moogle out when they're fishing in order to fish out Quina

Still not done cooking, we are offered a tour of Eidolon Wall

We also go get Garnet, figuring she'd like to see this

While Garnet learns more about the eidolons, we learn more about the summoners as well

Meanwhile, after fishing up Quina

Quina quickly clears up the misunderstanding, more concerned with helping Eiko prepare a proper meal

With Quina and Vivi's help, dinner is finally prepared and it is amazing

And my screencap got photobombed by a moogle apparently

During dinner we ask Eiko more about herself and this place

(That means they're dead)

Aww poor child

Although living with moogles doesn't seem like a bad time tbh

(That means she's six)

So most of them died and after her grandpa... well she was the last one left

We also learn about the horn on her forehead

Afterwards, her and Garnet chat about literature that they're surprised Eiko has copies of since she's so far away from the Mist Continent.

After dinner, Eiko asks if Zidane wants to eat her cooking everyday and he says sure. Not satisfied with his half-assed answer, she asks us to help with the cleaning

While helping (or in this case standing there holding a pot) we ask her more about the Iifa Tree

We ask her if she'll break the seal for us and she says no

Later that night, Vivi and Zidane do some male bonding

Time for a Zidane peptalk!

He then tells Vivi that he just wants to protect those he cares about

Eiko, who was eavesdropping, decides that she's going to follow her heart and come with us when we leave

Meanwhile

Zidane and Vivi decide to pee under the stars

How... romantic or something I don't know

The next morning, Garnet tells us she wants to come back here because she feels a sense of comfort with this place

Eiko sneaks up and tells us we need her to unlock the seal and asks Zidane if we want her with us, to which he replies of course he does

Garnet walks away after asking Zidane why he needs to be so nice to everyone, and Zidane asks Vivi if he's settled his feelings on what was worrying him. He says he hasn't

And the next update will be a while because this is a good place to grind (free healing) and Eiko has a loooot of catching up to do, but next time we head to the Iifa Tree!
