"Excuse me Miss, do you like pineapple?"
Several thoughts:
1. Disappointed when clicking the title at first that this wasn't a tribute to Conan O'Brien.
2. Slightly less disappointed on seeing this was for a Pixar movie.
3. Watch the trailer with reservation since Pixar has not made anything great since Inside Out in 2015 (admittedly not that long ago) and before that Toy Story 3 in 2010 (much longer ago).
4. Cool to see a Latino protagonist, so far so good.
5. Movie has something to do with ghosts. Also good.
Looks like this could be legit.

I wonder how this will compare to the Book of Life.

YOOOOOOOOOO!
I hope it's good since it's Pixar and because otherwise this year's crop of US animated films looks pretty grim.

Bumping this, anyone in the US seen it? Not out in the UK for a few weeks yet.

The movie was great! I liked it a lot. There wasn’t an original Pixar short played before it though, and that was disappointing. I always look forward to those.
I also had to sit through the pretty awful 30 minute frozen short that was playing before the movie for a little while after release. Luckily, it no longer exists before the movie in the US for anyone who sees it now.
In answer to my own question, very well. Coco was a wonderful movie.
It was a very different movie too, which I am glad of. Too many times we see movies that come out nearish to each other, particularly in the kids movie spaces, with similar backdrops that hit all the same points but one just kind of feels super meh and like it was riding coattails.
This movie is dope.
Saw this on a flight at some point, and really enjoyed it, especially the music.
