I have been playing final fantasy games ever since around 1991. My personal favorite games are 4,6,7,9,10. I am really curious on how this final fantasy 7 remake is going to be. We will have to wait and find out. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Welcome Sabin-101! I'm currently on my second playthrough of FFVI as we speak!

Considering FFVII is my all-time favourite game then yes I am very excited for the remake. I know it won't be the same and it certainly won't replace the original, just being able to stroll around the environments in 3D is going to be amazing

Yep nothing can replace the original game but seeing it in 3d is going to be amazing. Plus having some cutscenes with actual voices is going to be cool as well. Hopefully soon there will be a release date soon. It probably won't happen until next year.

Yeah, I agree. I was kinda hoping it would be released this year for the twentieth anniversary. If I'm honest though, I'd rather they just took their time and made it really, really good.

I think you are right about them taking there time. It is a very big project they are working on and a lot of fans are really looking forward to it. So if they screw this up a lot of fans will be very mad. Just like you said they are taking there time. I want to see what they do with the music. The soundtrack was really impressive so it will be interesting to hear what kind of changes they come up with.

Well they're already change it to be an ARPG rather than turn based. I am betting that itself will turn off a lot of old fans.

I remember when Square said that and every blog or website I read a lot of fans where in an uproar. From the videos we have seen I like the combat system. I knew they where going to change a lot of things so I was expecting this to happen.
